I had the extreme pleasure to meet the lovely lady, Sinead who wrote this wonderful book. It was a chance meeting, in an airport as we were traveling to the same location and happened to sit beside one another! Without prior knowledge, we returned home on the same day, met again when I boarded the plane after her and once again sat next to her! Her characters come alive and you become a willing, eager participant of the story. It seems as though, through her marvelous writing that you are in the room quietly observing the scene as she artfully unfolds the story of Irish Lads who play together in a band but have a strong friendship. Be sure to read her first book “Walking Through the Mist” It is the first book about the Macready Boys! “Crossing The Lough Between” is Book Two! Enjoy Both! She promises Book 3 soon! What a good read, I highly suggest one read this book "Crossing the Lough Between" but read "Walking Through the Mist" first, if you haven't already done so. These books are wonderful reads and will have you on the edge of the seat wanting to get to the next page, chapter.
I've just finished the second volume of Sinead's trio...Absolutely loved it! Her writing is beautiful. I've grown so attached to these wonderful characters they feel like old friends. Will anxiously await the third in the trilogy. Her descriptions are so vivid, it makes one want to hop on Aer Lingus and head for Ireland! A must read!
Heard there is a third novel in this series coming out soon so decided to read again both this and Walking Through the Mist. It reminded me of how much I love these books and how much I am looking forward to the continuing story Ms. Tyrone has created. She's not only a true storyteller but her descriptions of Ireland tell us where her heart really lives. Can't wait for the next story!
